Joint-Selling Offers for a Higher EPC

In pretty much any industry, multi-offer targeting is a novel way to make your landing page unique as well as raise your EPC.

With such a wide array of similar offers, especially those in the diet and dating industry, it’s likely that your traffic would just as easily convert on one as well as the other–so why not both?  By playing offers off of eachother and selling each off of the other’s weaknesses, you add realism and credibility to your site as well as increase the chance of a double-conversion.

There are a few main industries that respond particularly well to joint-selling techniques, each outlined below with specific strategies to achieve the maximum success in your promotion.

1) Joint Selling in the Diet Industry

The diet industry is perhaps the easiest in which to effectively joint-sell.  By convincing your visitors that the two products work together for effective compounded weight loss, visitors are likely to order both.  So far the best method I have found are the review-style blog sites where you chronologically post about “your” weight loss.  Be sure to mention how the two only worked effectively when used together.

Here is a piece of code for your order-now button so that you can open both offers simultaneously to users:

<a href="http://www.websiteone.com" onclick="window.open('http://www.websitetwo.com','newwin');">Order Now!</a>

2) Joint Selling in the Dating Industry

A little more difficult due to the lack of the “compound effect” but becoming just as popular is multi-offer selling in the dating industry.  Out of experience, you don’t necessarily want them together so much as co-integrate them into one page.

In a recent landing-page test, I created a “singles profile” site where I included images, details, and stories of various singles with links to the dating sites where they could be found.  By using different dating offers for each profile, it loked like more of an impartial site (ie, not just offers from one company) and most users signed up for all 3!

Overall, co-slling offers appears to be the new way of increasing the value of your traffic, and with a little work and creativity, the methodology can be applied to virtually any industry.
